My daughter Sara is getting married June 27th and her matron-of-honor, maid-of-honor, bridesmaids and friends put on a wonderful shower for her, with so many special touches. I hope this blog post gives you some ideas if you need to host a shower:
1) A “Thank You” card station where guests address envelopes for the bride-to-be, so her thank you notes are a cinch:
Wait, no boys allowed! Chris and a few of his groomsmen (also Sara and Chris) (now get out!)
Brother-of-the-Bride, Matthew and Best Man, Preston pictured below (I said get out!)
Ok, they’re gone, time to party!
2) A mimosa bar station at the front door was a huge hit
Sara and super friend, Nicole
3) A wine bar in the kitchen for those who partake:
4) Food table with super cute glittered bottles and flowers, mini quiche, mini cupcakes, veggies and dip, cookies, ham and cheese rollups = yum:
Yogurt topping station
Games included a “Who Am I” where each guest wrote a memory of the bride-to-be and she guesses who said the quote. I stumped her because I have the most memories. Stump her and get a gift, if the bride-to-be guesses correctly, she picks from the gift bag. Gifts were lipsticks, cute nail polish, lotions, wonderful girl stuff.
I loved the gift from Aunt Jana, funny aprons and awesome personalized cutting board
(I got her the cool personalized pillow at Pottery Barn):
Prettiest flower girl, ever, and yet another Sarah!
Pretty Maids all in a Row:
Sara and Kirsten (friends since 5th grade!)
Maid-of-Honor, Samantha came from New Jersey to help host the shower:
Grandparents from Florida, Gail and Lynn, drove up for the party
The party continued at Aviator in Fuquay-Varina:
